CULTURE/RACE: Trinidadians and Tobagonians are ethnic mixes from carib islands such as French creole, Spanish, English, Indians, and even Chinese. From 1861- present the population has grown to about 1.1 million of African and Indian descent.
LIFESTYLE: For example, education in Trinidad has some similarity to education in the states. What we would call elementary school they would call primary school what we would callmiddle school- high school they will call it secondary school. It is very common in Trinidad for children that is 16 years or age to be graduates compared to the states where seniors are 18 years of age. And the same things apply for those Who want to go to college they have to pay orare sometimes granted scholarships.
QUESTION: where did they get primary and secondary from? Why is it that when children migrate from Trinidad to the US they are put back a grade?
